Reliance Live is looking to disrupt the sports streaming market after it aired the FIFA World Cup for free on the Jio Cinema app last year; Now they are planning to broadcast Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season for free. This is being determined after Viacom18 tested a model that will broadcast FIFA World Cup 2022 for free on Reliance’s Jio Cinema app. The matches were streamed on the app as well as on TV channels like Sports 18 and Sports 18 HD, making them a hit.
