In a disclosure to the stock market, Hindustan Zinc said that the company’s board has approved the third interim dividend at Rs 13 per equity share. The dividend is 650 percent of the face value of Rs 2 per share. The total amount of dividend is about Rs 5,500 crore. Hindustan Zinc has fixed January 30 as the record date for determining the number of shareholders eligible for the third interim dividend.

Hindustan Zinc had earlier paid its first dividend of Rs 21 per share for the current financial year. The second interim dividend of Rs 15.50 per share was paid in the current financial year. In the first 66 months of FY2023, the company has paid a total dividend of 1850 percent. Last year, the company paid 900 percent dividend to its shareholders at Rs 18 per share.
