-The decision to dissolve NASUPR was taken during the coalition government as we did not want two development agencies in the same city. However, during the Mahavikas Aghadi government, this decision was reversed and NASUPR was revived.
– Powers of Planning Authority were restored by returning seven schemes to NASUPR.
– According to the government decision dated May 12, 2017, conditions were laid for the recruitment of administrative services, urban planning services, accounting services, legal services, park services.
– No new posts could be recruited to any post in this cadre either by direct service or by nomination. It was also prohibited to fill up the vacant direct service quota posts.
– The Board of Trustees of NASUP has approved the recruitment on 4th October 2021.
– The issue of relaxation of conditions in the Government decision dated 12th May 2017 was under the consideration of the Government. According to the government decision dated 23 December 2022, these conditions have been cancelled.
– Nasupra has been given permission to hire TCS-ION (Tata Consultancy Services Limited) and IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) to fill these vacancies.
– Apart from this, the decision to fill the posts through Maharashtra Public Service Commission can also be taken by the Chairman of NASUP and Board of Trustees of NASUP.
– Nasupra expressed the belief that due to the decision of the government, the recruitment will speed up.
