The education department has now taken strict steps for schools to verify Aadhaar of students. Sources said that the education officer’s office has informed the education board to complete the Aadhaar verification hundred percent and then get the 12th mark sheets. Aadhaar authentication is around 90 percent in the district. However, as many organizations have not processed yet, there is talk of taking such action. What decision the board takes on this, is now getting attention.
The division includes five districts including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Many are behind in the process. Many students are likely to be deprived of the government scheme due to non-updated Aadhaar. Along with that Sanchamanita was added to this number. The education department has indicated action against the institutes regarding the certification. Accordingly, the issue of Aadhaar verification is likely to be brought up while giving the 12th mark sheet. Mark sheets will be distributed to the students of class 12th from June 5.
Report with Payroll
The education department is likely to compel student Aadhaar verification report along with mark sheets to be attached with pay slip. The Office of the Secondary Education Officer made preparations from that point of view. The department has informed about this through a letter to the Headmaster, Principal. Still 48 thousand students’ aadhars are invalid in the district. Aadhar has not been processed for 41 thousand students. It was said that the student is on file, he has Aadhaar number, but it has not been verified. Even in eleven months, the process was not done. These students are likely to be considered bogus. The Education Officer indicated that action would be taken by the Education Officer’s office to stop the principal’s salary, not to accept any proposals of such schools, not to distribute the results etc. in this case.
