The time has come for the state government, which promised to recruit 75 thousand government posts in the state, to cancel the recruitment under Animal Husbandry Commissionerate. As these ‘attendant’ posts are likely to be filled on contractual basis, a doubt has been raised to cancel this recruitment process. Hundreds of candidates had applied for the 2017 and 2019 recruitment exam of Commissionerate. Examination fee will be refunded to all these candidates. However, the candidates have expressed their anger on this decision.
The decision to cancel the examination was announced by the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries on Tuesday. Due to non-organisation of the examination till now, delay in examination, restrictions on recruitment, change in reservation of posts, increase in vacancies, the decision has said that the recruitment has been cancelled. It has been said in the decision that the fee will be refunded to the students who have applied for this examination and separate instructions will be given for the same.
It has been clarified to take the exam through online mode by selecting one of the companies from ‘TCS-ION’ and ‘IBPS’ as per the requirement for the post. Similarly, orders have been given to the Animal Husbandry Commissioner to take up the recruitment process in accordance with the relaxation given for the recruitment on the occasion of the anniversary year of Independence.
Candidates’ criticism of the decision
Advertisements were released in 2017 and 2019 for the post of ‘C’ and ‘D’ cadre under Animal Husbandry Commissionerate. More than three and a half lakh candidates had applied for it. However, even after the lapse of four years, the examination was not conducted. Finally the decision to cancel this exam has been published. According to the decision, the attendant posts in this recruitment process will be filled on contractual basis, while 80 percent of the vacant posts of ‘C’ cadre supervisor posts will be filled. However, the candidates are criticizing that there is no faith in this decision.
The state government is working to make the students unemployed. The government announced the recruitment of 75 thousand employees. However, except for police recruitment, no process is yet underway. Similarly, the government has canceled the recruitment exam of five years ago. Therefore, the government is incurring the wrath of the students.

The state government did not conduct the exam for five years and finally canceled the exam citing various reasons. Now the government has decided to recruit 75 thousand posts. However, there are still no real ads. There is huge dissatisfaction among the students on this policy of the government.
