On the occasion of this conference, an action plan for KG to PG education for the next 20 years will be prepared. Satyajit Tambe, the youth candidate of the Nashik Graduate Constituency has asserted that there will be an attempt to radically change the current education system in the state through this Education Council. He was speaking in the presence of graduates, teachers and various dignitaries in the field of education in Nashik city.
Speaking on the occasion, he further said that Maharashtra has always been a leader in reforms in the education sector. The first school for women was established by Mahatma Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule here in Pune. Satyajit Tambe said that Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve’s contribution in this field is also invaluable.
Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil arranged for students from Bahujan community to get education through Ryat Shikshan Sanstha. Taking inspiration from them, various organizations were established in the villages. In 1983, Vasantdada Patil also revolutionized the education sector in the state. Tambe also highlighted that Vasantdad started private institutes for medical and engineering colleges and provided opportunities to students from all walks of life to become doctors or engineers.
Before this election, we had a very close relationship with the youth, the education sector, various educational institutions. Through the election, the issues in the education sector could be understood more closely. Not a single university in India is included in the list of top 100 universities in the world. This picture is sad. In order to change this situation, it is necessary to do radical work in the field of education. Tambe explained that this education conference was organized to give a new direction to this sector.
At present recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff in the education sector, increase in non-salary grants to institutions, significant increase in expenditure on education, recruitment of full-time art-sports-music teachers, reform of school administration, grant to ITIs, cessation of non-teaching activities for teachers, old pension Several decisions are pending to implement the scheme.
Winning and losing in elections is one sided. But on the occasion of this election of graduate constituency, I think it is important to find a solution to the issues I understand. After talking to many people, they realized that they expected me to do something concrete about it. I don’t want to falsify these expectations. Also, you don’t want to show as if you have done something too much. Through this conference, we will try to create a better plan for the education sector. Satyajit expressed the belief that this plan will be useful for the government to decide the education policy for the next 20 years.
