Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Ajit Pawar suspended 52 teachers of Beed district on Monday. This action has been taken against these teachers after it was found that the disability certificate given for transfer was bogus.
In the intra-district transfer process of teachers of Beed Zilla Parishad, 336 teachers had attached disability certificate and had also filed an application not to be transferred due to disability or to get a convenient school. Zilla Parishad decided to verify and hear the disability certificate of these 336 teachers. These certificates were initially verified by forming seven teams of Education Department officials, District Hospital Medical Officers.
As it was felt necessary to re-examine the teachers who appeared questionable in this verification, some of them were sent to the Medical Board of Swami Ramanand Tirtha Medical College, Ambajogai for re-examination.
