Currently, the intensity of summer is increasing in the state. The weather department has predicted that the intensity will increase in the next four to five days. In this background, the state government is taking cautious steps. In view of this situation, all the schools of the State Board of Education have been declared holiday from April 21. Some private schools have also prepared the system to choose the option of online, but as some private schools are running, parents are demanding that the schedule of CBSE, ICSE schools should be like the schedule of state government schools.
State government primary and secondary schools are closed for holidays in the months of April and May after the examination. For the past few years, the intensity of heat is increasing in the months of March and April. Temperatures are above 40 degrees in most cities. Thane has recorded a temperature of 43.3 degree in the month of April. CBSE, ICSE board schools continue till the end of April. In some schools the fans are also faulty.
A student may suffer from heatstroke due to the fact that young children are reluctant to drink water. Therefore, orders should be given to prepare school timetables by estimating last year’s temperature. Also, the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been requested by the Secretary General of Education Sandeep Pachange to make the schedule of CBSE, ICSE schools as per the schedule of the state government schools by keeping the student at the center instead of keeping the fees at the center.
