It has recently been announced by the state education department that the approval process will be completed by May 20. But, as thousands of students are still pending Aadhaar card linking due to errors, the number of students will be registered less than the original number in the given time frame.
As a result, there is a fear of many teachers becoming redundant, and there is a demand for extension for Aadhaar addition. Aadhaar linking of every student to U-DICE Plus was made mandatory by the state government to avoid inflation of enrollment by schools.
It was announced through the education department that only those students who have been linked with Aadhaar will be recognized accordingly. But, schools are facing many difficulties in connecting Aadhaar. Thousands of students are yet to be connected due to a mismatch between name, date of birth and other information on the Aadhaar card and the information registered by the school on U-DICE Plus.
However, schools have been given a deadline of May 15 for Aadhaar registration of students. After that, it has been announced through the education department that the recognition will be distributed to the schools by May 20. As only those students who have Aadhaar card linkage will be considered for admission, there is a possibility that many students will not be admitted due to Aadhaar linkage. As a result, many teachers across the state are feared to be redundant depending on the student-teacher ratio.
To determine the ratio of students and teachers, the process of common approval is implemented by the education department. However, due to Corona, the education department was facing many difficulties in implementing this process in the last two years. After that, many technical difficulties are facing in this process this year as well.
