Congratulating the Department of Marathi Language for the grand organization of Vishwa Marathi Sammelan, Minister Patil further said that the State Government is taking effective steps for the promotion of Marathi language. The state government has given directions that government work should be done in Marathi only. Similarly, emphasis is being placed on teaching subjects like research through mother tongue. Also, legal education will be given in Marathi language so that legal work can be done in Marathi.
The help of technology is being taken to increase the use of Marathi language. IIT Mumbai has developed a software for this. Through this, books in English can be read completely in Marathi. He also said that even if Marathi subject is taught in any language, it can be studied in Marathi.
Patil expressed the need to find alternative simple words to enrich the Marathi language and establish them in daily use. Marathi language is tiger’s milk and the identity of Maharashtra. Science teacher Prakash Panchal expressed the opinion that all transactions in the state should be done in Marathi language.
Senior Marathi teacher Sanjivani Narkar asserted that Marathi teachers like us feel proud that Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar has also invited Marathi teachers from the state to the Marathi World Conference. Librarian Aarti Sharma expressed the information that the Marathi language is honored at the global level due to the excellent organization of the Marathi World Conference by the state government.
