UGC approved Idol till January 2026
In the year 2020, the University Grants Commission allowed admission in the January session along with the July session. According to this, in the year 2022, Institute of Distance and Open Studies of Mumbai University was also approved for January session admission. UGC has approved IDOL for five consecutive years till January 2026 as Mumbai University has got NAAC grade of A++ and 3.65 marks. This approval has been given for 20 courses.
Admission in Semester Method
In Idol, session mode has started in July session. In this January session, semester system has been started in first, second and third year BA and BCom along with first and second year MA and MCom. And Sociology can be admitted in the subject. Also MA Education courses are also available for the students. In MCom also two groups of subjects namely Accounts and Management are available for students. All these admissions are online.
B.A Psychology subject started
Psychology subject in B.A is highly demanded by students. Third year B. in many colleges. A. Since six papers of psychology are not available, students are deprived of psychology. Six psychology papers are being started in Idol from this year.
Guidance and distribution of study material at the divisional sub-centre
Idol has regional centers at Churchgate, Thane, Kalyan, Ratnagiri and Sawantwadi, where admission guidance and study material will be distributed. A regional center will also be opened at Palghar soon.
