Actress Munmun Dutta completed her schooling from Kanpu in Uttar Pradesh. After that she took admission in Oxford Model Senior Secondary School. She also completed the rest of her education from Mumbai University. Munmun Dutta has done Master of Arts (MA) in English from Pune.

Babitaji alias Munmun Dutt was born in Durgapur, West Bengal. As a child, she used to sing in school programs held on the occasion of Saraswati Puja. Both her father and mother were singers. She is trained in classical music. She also participated in fashion shows during college.
Her first serial was Hum Sab Baraati in 2004. She has won many awards for the serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma. During this period she was also a part of singer Daler Mehndi’s song “Humne Pake Li Hai”. She has also acted in 2005 films ‘Mumbai Express’ and ‘More’. Also starred in the 2006 film Holiday, where she played the role of Shuli. In 2008, she got an opportunity to act in the SAB TV series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, where she played the role of Babita Iyer. This serial has completed more than 3 thousand episodes.
Munmun has also appeared in TV commercials with Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan. She has appeared in many item songs. Her item song is ‘Adli Nato E Poota’ from the South Indian film ‘Student’ starring Nishant and Milani.
