Efforts should be made to preserve the name of Savitribai Phule Pune University in the world competition, the tone emerged in the first meeting of the University Advisory Council. Issues such as implementation of new educational policy, planning of various activities for the anniversary year of the university were also discussed in this meeting.
According to the Public University Act, the University Advisory Council met in the University. According to the provisions of the University Act, industrialist Sanjay Kirloskar is the president of the council, and senior scientist Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Former Management Council Member Rajesh Pandey, Senior Educationist Dr. Narendra Jadhav, information and technology expert Raj Shekhar Joshi and others are members of the council. It is the apex university advisory council to guide the Vice-Chancellor and the Management Council on measures to raise the level of the university globally.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Karbhari Kale presented an overview of the University’s functioning and development. Information about the University’s Amritmahotsav year and upcoming G-20 meeting plans were given. The Advisory Council expressed satisfaction with the progress of the university.
In the backdrop of new challenges in the field of education, emphasis was placed on the effective implementation of the new education policy to raise the international standing of the university. An Action Committee was constituted for effective implementation of the activities.
