As 167 posts of primary teachers are vacant in the schools of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, 285 deputy teachers will soon be appointed on salary basis. This information was given by the administration officer Sanjay Naikede. These posts are vacant since 2019 due to non-recruitment of teachers through the ‘Pavitra’ portal of the state government. Now, however, it was clarified on behalf of the Municipal Corporation that teachers will be recruited for these vacancies.
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has a total of 105 primary schools. Out of these, 140 teacher posts are vacant in Marathi schools, 14 in Urdu schools and 13 in Hindi schools. A total of 167 teacher posts are vacant in these three medium schools. To fill the vacancies, the primary department will conduct the teacher recruitment process on salary basis. A total of 285 teachers will be recruited, all these will be sub-teacher posts.
In the past two years during the Corona era, students had to stay at home and study online. There was a shortage of teachers since the Corona period. During this time many teachers retired and many took voluntary retirement. However, now the outbreak of Corona virus has reduced and schools have resumed. In this background, the students are suffering due to the reduced number of teachers. Now the Diwali holidays are over and schools are going to start. Therefore, presence of teachers in schools is mandatory. Therefore, there is a need to recruit at the earliest. Currently 34 thousand 735 students are studying in primary schools of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.
Due to non-recruitment of teachers through the sacred portal of the state government, the posts are left vacant. In order not to harm the students, teachers will be recruited as soon as possible on the basis of remuneration on behalf of the Pimpri Municipal Corporation.

Twenty-three schools without headmasters
Currently, the posts of principals are vacant in 23 schools of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Of these, 21 posts are vacant in Marathi schools and two in Urdu schools. These posts have not been filled after the retirement of the principals of the respective schools. Therefore, work is being done in these 23 schools through the in-charge principals. These posts are requested to be filled as soon as possible.
