The state government’s education department has released a list of 674 unauthorized schools across the state, including four schools in the Nashik municipal limits. Even after the Municipal Education Department directed the school management to close these schools immediately, these schools are continuing. Therefore, the education department has given an ultimatum to the principals along with the directors of these schools to close the schools. If the school is not closed within 48 hours, administration officer Sunita Dhangar has warned that a case will be filed directly.
A list of 674 unauthorized schools across the state was announced by the education department of the state government in the month of February. It was pointed out that there are 12 schools in Nashik district. It includes four schools within Nashik Municipal Corporation limits. Following the education department’s letter, the municipal education department issued notices to all four schools namely Emerald Height Public School (Jail Road), Vansraje Hindi Medium School (Satpur), Khairul Banat English Medium School (Wadala) and Gandhi Vidya Mandir Sanstha Primary School Canada Road and directed them to close them immediately. was Also, the education department of the municipality appealed that the parents should not take admission in these schools.
Notices were also issued to the management of these schools in this regard. However, as there is no response from the school management and principal, the municipality has now taken an aggressive stance. A final 48-hour notice has been issued to the management and principals of these schools. The education department has warned that if schools are found open even after this notice, criminal cases will be filed directly against the principals and directors of the schools.
Such is the penalty provision
– In the decision of the government, there is a provision to impose a fine of one lakh rupees on the unauthorized schools which are running without the approval of the government
– Order to levy a fine of Rs.10 thousand per day if the school continues despite paying this fine
– If the school continues to operate even after the education department issues a notice to the schools which are operating illegally, they will be fined Rs 10 thousand per day along with a fine of Rs.
