An order has been given to the concerned through the office of Deputy Director of Education to submit the information of unauthorized schools in Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar districts of Nashik Division within eight days. Information has come to light that 17 unauthorized schools are still running in the district, and now the information about the unauthorized schools in the division will also be taken.
Last year, it was revealed that there were 27 unauthorized schools in the district. After that, according to the report requested this year, it was announced through the education department of Zilla Parishad that 10 schools were closed. The education officers of Zilla Parishad, as well as group education officers have been instructed to take appropriate action regarding the closure of the remaining 17 unauthorized schools through the office of the Deputy Director.
Along with this, Deputy Director of Education Dr. Bhausaheb Chavan has given to the authorities. The Education Officer office will have to announce the list of these schools and appeal to the parents not to take admission in them. Along with this, after verifying the documents of the concerned schools, if they are unauthorized, they will also have to give an immediate notice for appropriate action.
Unauthorized schools have sprung up across the state in the past few years. Parents are often cheated by the schools as they do not know much about this. Two years ago, during the National Education Survey, it was pointed out that the school in Wadala area of Nashik had only a paper record and was not actually a school. After that, the inspection conducted across the state revealed that nearly six and a half hundred schools are unauthorized. Although many unofficial schools have been closed since then, some schools are still open.
