The meeting of the joint board of vice-chancellors of the universities of the state was concluded at Raj Bhavan under the chairmanship of Governor Koshyari. Minister of Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Patil, Principal Secretary of Higher and Technical Education Department Vikas Chandra Rastogi, Director of Technical Education Dr. Abhay Wagh, Deputy Secretary Ajit Baviskar, Director of Higher Education Dr. Shailendra Devlankar, Education Fee Committee Chairman Vijay Achaliya, Former Chief Secretary J.P. Dange and the Vice-Chancellors of all the universities were present.
The Governor said, according to the geographical conditions of that area, it is important to make quality education easy and accessible. The guidance and support of all is important for this, Governor Koshyari also said that the university and the state government should work in coordination for the educational difficulties and their solutions.
‘Plan Exams, Results, Academic Schedule’
University and college exam schedule, declaration of exam results on time, CET admission process completed on time, academic year must start on time. Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil suggested that all universities should plan for this. The examinations of universities and colleges in the state should be planned to be completed by 31st May and the results should be declared by 30th June. After completing the CET exam, results and admission process in June-July, the timetable should be planned to start the academic year from 1st August. Educational schedule should be planned for the benefit of the students. It will help the students to get more opportunities for higher and technical education outside the state and outside the country and also reduce the mental stress of the students.
