Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio, Sunil Mittal’s Bharti Airtel, Gautam Adani’s Adani Enterprises Limited and Vodafone Idea participated in the 5G spectrum auction. Last year, during the 4G spectrum auction, bids were around Rs 77,815 crore. This year, bids for 5G spectrum have been doubled. The total bid for 3G spectrum held in the year 2010 was Rs 50,968.37 crore. Therefore, the bidding for 5G spectrum can be said to be a record.

Jio tops 5G spectrum auction
Jio bought the highest priced airwaves during the 5G spectrum auction. After that comes Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea. It is claimed that the speed of 5G will be 10 times faster than that of 4G. Along with this, you will get lag free connectivity. Through 5G connectivity, millions of devices will be connected in real time and fast data will be transferred.
Meanwhile, Adani Group has launched a private telecom network for 26 Mhz spectrum. Both Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio are working to roll out 5G networks across the country. Whereas Vodafone Idea will provide 5G network only in certain locations. Also, it is expected that 5G services will be launched in the country by the end of this year. 5G may cost more in the early stages.
