Fatal accident involving ST bus and two-wheeler at Katraj Ghat; Young killed on the spot, one seriously injured

Pune : A ST bus and a two-wheeler met with a terrible accident in Katraj Ghat and the two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot. Also, one person on the bike was seriously injured. The incident took place on Friday evening. Due to this accident, there was a traffic jam in the Ghat for some time.

The name of the youth who died in the accident is Amol Takle (age 18, resident Bhawani Peth). Pawan Jadhav, the young man who was on the bike with him, was seriously injured.

According to the police, the Nashik-Sangli State Transport Corporation bus was going from Pune to Satar via Katraj Ghat. The two on a two-wheeler were coming from the village of Shivapur to Pune through the Ghat. A bus and a two-wheeler had an accident on a steep slope in the ghat. The young man died on the spot in the accident. The injured has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
