At 10:40 am on Friday, the Nifty50 index of the National Stock Exchange was trading down 40.9 points or 0.23% at 17,817.30. While the broad market indices performed mixed compared to the leading indices. The Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index fell by 0.56% and the Nifty Small-Cap 100 index by 0.07%.
According to January 12 data, foreign institutional investors were the sellers while domestic investors were the buyers. Foreign institutional investors sold shares worth Rs 1,662.63 crore. Domestic institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 2,127.65.
