A tempo carrying laborers from Buldhana and Akola areas for work met with an accident this morning on a steep slope near Mukdev village in Mahabaleshwar taluk. Preliminary information has been received that there are a total of 38 laborers in Tempo. Among the injured in this accident are small children and there are also reports of 2 pregnant women.
Some of the injured in the accident have been admitted to Taldev and some to Mahabaleshwar Rural Hospital for treatment and two seriously injured children have been sent to the government hospital in Satara. Activists of Sahyadri Trekkers helped the injured. Preliminary information is being received that laborers have come to Mahabaleshwar for road work and it is said that the accident took place on Saturday morning.
