IND vs AUS: India squad announced for first 2 Tests against Australia, Jadeja returns to squad

Mumbai: The Australian team will be visiting India in February. Both the teams will have a four-match Test series and a 3-match ODI series. The Indian squad for the first two Tests of the tour of Australia was announced today.

Four Test matches will be played between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The series will start from February 9 with the first Test in Nagpur. Every second Test will be played at Delhi’s Arun Jethali ground. The Indian squad was announced for the first two matches of the series.

This is the first selection after the new selection committee appointed by the BCCI has taken over the reins. Rohit Sharma will lead the Test team while KL Rahul will be the vice-captain. Ravindra Jadeja, who has been out of the team for the past few months due to injury, has been selected. But the final decision will be taken on his fitness.

Ishan Kishan and KS Bharat have been selected as wicketkeepers in the team. Rishabh Pant was injured in an accident and will not be available for selection for a few months. As a spinner R. Ashwin, Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav. Shami will lead the fast bowlers.
