Therefore, the Bhoiwada court issued an arrest warrant against Raju Pard. But, for the last 20 years, Raju Pard was dodging the police.
During the last 20 years, Raju Pard had taken all necessary precautions to escape from the police. Raju Pard had stopped using mobile. Also during this period, Raju Pard had not applied for any of the documents like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID Card. Yeshiva, Raju was constantly changing his places of residence. All in all, Raju had taken good care that the police would not know his whereabouts. There was a ration card in the name of Raju Pard’s wife, but Raju’s name was not on it. His wife was using a mobile phone. But the SIM card of this mobile was in the name of Pandey in Sangamner. So it was impossible to trace Raju. But last week, the Mumbai Police went to a lounge in Parbhani’s Akoli village and arrested Raju Pard.
How did the police catch Raju?
Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar had ordered all police stations to take action against absconding criminals in their jurisdiction. Police learned that Raju had sold his house in Shivdi and moved to a village in his village. Then the police decided to arrest Raju. While police personnel Ravindra Sable as headman and Balwant Dalvi as clerk reached Raju’s village in Sangamner. They all came here in the second week of January.
Here the police team started meeting social organizations and other people of Raju’s village in the name of training. Then the police got information that Raju’s wife was working on a farm. The police kept her under surveillance for some time. After this, the police contacted Raju’s wife with the help of local police and village panchayat. If you do not cooperate in arresting Raju, the police will take action against you, the police told her. After that, Raju’s wife started giving all the information.
Raju’s wife said that he was working in a hotel a few days ago. After going there, the police came to know that Raju Pard had left his job. The police also got information that he had left for Junnar. At that time, the police thoroughly interrogated the hotel owner. He told the police about Raju’s whereabouts. Accordingly, the police arrested Raju Pard on January 17. He is currently in police custody.
