Share Market Opening Today: Initially down, then bullish in stock market, Sensex-Nifty on green mark

Mumbai: The stock market is slightly higher this morning with both the Sensex and Nifty trading in the green. In early trade, the Sensex was up 134 points at 60239 while the Nifty was up 32 points at 17906. Grasim, Coal India, Titan, Nestle and HCL Tech were the top gainers on the Nifty. While Asian Paints, Tata Steel, BPCL and Hindalco were the top losers.

The fallout of the last two sessions was reflected in the Indian stock market on Thursday morning as well and the trade started with losses. But, after some time investors got relieved and started buying, thus the market saw a rise. Today the global market has also shown a bullish trend, which will have a positive impact on the domestic investors.

BSE’s flagship 30-share index Sensex opened down 22 points at 60134 today. At the same time, National Stock Exchange Nifty started the day’s trading at 17920 level.

Today’s session saw buying in IT, Auto, FMCG, Pharma and Realty stocks. The IT index on the Nifty gained more than half a percent. Bank, financial and metal indices are in red.

Today’s trading shows buying in heavyweight stocks. 21 stocks of Sensex 30 are in green symbol, while 9 are in red symbol. Today’s top gainers include TITAN, Infosys, HCL Tech, NTPC, Tata Motors, ITC, Wipro, MARUTI. Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Bank, SBI, Airtel, RIL are the top losers.

Wednesday status

The Dow Jones closed up 268.91 points at 33,973 on hopes of easing US inflation. Similarly, the Nasdaq gained 1.76 percent or 189 points. Apart from this, the S&P 500 closed at 9369 with a gain of 1.28 percent. CPI data will also be released in India today.

The Sensex closed marginally lower by 9.98 points at 60,105.50. It fell to 309.7 points at one point during the trade. The Nifty of the national stock market also fell 18.45 points to close at 17,895.70.
