BSE’s flagship 30-share index Sensex opened down 22 points at 60134 today. At the same time, National Stock Exchange Nifty started the day’s trading at 17920 level.
Today’s session saw buying in IT, Auto, FMCG, Pharma and Realty stocks. The IT index on the Nifty gained more than half a percent. Bank, financial and metal indices are in red.

Wednesday status
The Dow Jones closed up 268.91 points at 33,973 on hopes of easing US inflation. Similarly, the Nasdaq gained 1.76 percent or 189 points. Apart from this, the S&P 500 closed at 9369 with a gain of 1.28 percent. CPI data will also be released in India today.
The Sensex closed marginally lower by 9.98 points at 60,105.50. It fell to 309.7 points at one point during the trade. The Nifty of the national stock market also fell 18.45 points to close at 17,895.70.
