Solapur : After the split in Shiv Sena, party chief Uddhav Thackeray is giving opportunity to new faces to attack the rebels. Laxman Hake, who joined the party a few months ago after Sushma Andhare from NCP was given the responsibility of deputy leader, has been given the responsibility of spokesperson by Uddhav Thackeray. Hake, who is known as a member of the Maharashtra State Backward Classes Commission and a militant leader of Dhangar Samaj in Sangola, has been given the post of spokesperson and in the future, Hake will try to stand up for Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray.
With Laxman Hake, who is popular among the youth of the Dhangar community, getting an opportunity as the spokesperson, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena is likely to gain a good advantage in the 11 Lok Sabha constituencies where Dhangar has a majority, including Madha, Baramati, Sangli, Parbhani.
Political career of Laxman Hake
Laxman Hake contested the 2019 assembly elections from Sangola assembly constituency in Solapur district. Aniket Deshmukh, the grandson of Ganpatrao Deshmukh, was defeated in the constituency which is the stronghold of Shekap. Shahajibapu Patil defeated Deshmukh from Shiv Sena. Hake did not get many votes in this election. But now that Uddhav Thackeray has given him strength, he can challenge incumbent MLA Shahaji Patil in the upcoming elections.
