The 35 km stretch of Metro Route 7 and Metro Route 2A has been completed. 33 of these stations will be put into public service. By bringing this stage into public service, it will provide a great facility for Mumbaikars in Adhenri, Dahisar, Versova area. Traffic congestion on the roads will be reduced. This is an ambitious project for that. The project will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 19. It is a great coincidence that the ground-breaking ceremony of this metro was done by Prime Minister Modi himself. This is a project that will give relief to millions of people. People will be able to travel comfortably. This metro will be a boon for lakhs of Mumbaikars. We have undertaken many activities in Mumbai. We have expedited these stalled projects. Some of these projects, be they concrete roads, STP plants, health issues, beautification, etc. will also be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi. Chief Minister Shinde expressed his belief that this will be a great gift for Mumbaikars.
Features of Metro Route 7 and Metro Route 2A…
A total length of 337.1 km is proposed to be constructed in the Mumbai Metro Corridor. Once all these metro lines are completed, the metro system will have a daily passenger capacity of 1.3 times that of Mumbai’s suburban rail system.

Mumbai Metro Route 7 Gundvali (East Andheri) to Dahisar East Corridor is on the Western Expressway and Mumbai Metro Route 7 will serve the western parts of Mumbai to the eastern parts. Mumbai Metro Route 7 will help reduce the load on the Western Expressway. Mumbai Metro Route-7 has been completed in two phases namely Phase-1 and Phase-2.
Mumbai Metro Route 7 (Phase-1) It is a 10.902 km long elevated corridor with 9 stations (Aarey to Dahisar (East)) of which (Dahisar (East) station falls under Mumbai Metro Route 2A.
