This was the first meeting
Rahul Dravid’s wife Vijetha’s father was serving as a Wing Commander in the Indian Air Force. Due to this he was transferred to different cities. He was transferred to Bangalore city during 1968-1971. This is the reason why Vijeta and Rahul got to know each other.
These two met each other through a common friend. During this time their friendship became stronger. After some time this friendship turned into love. In 2002, Vijay also completed his Masters in Surgery. In 2002, the marriage of Dravid and Vijetha was also fixed, but in 2003, Dravid had to go on the World Cup tour. The winner reached South Africa to cheer up Rahul
Vijeta and Rahul Dravid got engaged before the World Cup. Meanwhile, Vijaya went to South Africa to cheer Rahul. After returning from the World Cup tour, they got married in Marathi style on 4 May 2003 in Bangalore. Thus, Rahul and Vijetha’s marriage is a perfect combination of love and arranged marriage. Dravid and Vijeta have two sons
