On January 30, a suicide bomb was detonated in a mosque in Peshawar’s police line. More than 100 people died in it. The attacker entered the mosque while offering prayers and blew himself up. 300 to 400 people were present in the mosque when this incident took place. Policemen were largely among the dead and injured in the bombings. The wall of the mosque collapsed in that blast. Some people died under it.
Pakistan-based terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast. However, later they shook hands.
According to Dawn’s report, Moazzam Jah Ansari told the police that a jacket was found at the scene, which contained a ball bearing. While watching the CCTV footage of the area near the mosque, the attacker came in police uniform. Police informed that he was seen in the CCTV footage while parking the bike.
The attacker entered the main gate at 12:37 PM on a two-wheeler. When he arrived, he asked a police constable about the location of the mosque. The police said that it was clear that the target was given to the attacker.
The police have said that a network is working behind the Peshawar mosque attack. The police have informed that the two-wheeler has also been recovered. Police have informed that tinitrotoluene was used for the explosion.
The police said that the sacrifice of the policemen who died in the blast will not go in vain and we will take revenge for the blast.
