Shirdi Lok Sabha Constituency MP Sadashiv Lokhande had come for a meeting at Taklimia Gram Panchayat in Rahuri Taluka. At that time, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s group and former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s group faced each other. The area was rocked with sloganeering from both sides.
‘Chief minister Shinde agae badho hum tumhare saath hai,’ the Shinde group announced. In response, supporters of the Thackeray group chanted ‘Fifty is OK. What do these traitors want to do, head down, feet up?’ This made the atmosphere tense. Along with shouting slogans, some protested by displaying black flags. The detained activists have been taken to the police station and further action is underway against them. MP Lokhande, however, preferred to repeat the meeting and leave.
