For the convenience of passengers, local trains will run from the stations of Byculla, Paral, Kurla, Dadar on the route of Thane, Kalyan, Karjat, Kasara. The number of these rounds will be less. Many offices, markets and traders’ pethas near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus are open on Sundays. Due to this, passengers traveling tomorrow and Sunday will have to wade through the crowd.
Victory preparation for the block
4 cranes of 350 weight capacity, 4 hydra machines, 50 gas cutters and as many gas cutters will be kept as optional. A total of 400 employees including 200 employees of construction department and 150 employees of OHE department and others will be working on the bridge. Additional cranes and hydra machines have been prepared for emergencies.
36 express canceled, 57 trains rerouted
Traffic and ‘power block’ has been taken between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Masjid station on ‘Local Line’, ‘Fast Line’ and ‘Harbor Line’ in Mumbai section of Central Railway from November 19 to 21. Therefore, 36 trains departing from Mumbai and running via Pune including the Pune-Mumbai route have been cancelled. Routes of 57 trains have been changed. The trains ‘Udyan Express’, ‘Koyna Express’, ‘Thiruvananthapuram Express’, ‘Gadag Express’ and ‘Siddheshwar Express’ going to Mumbai via Pune will run to Pune on November 19, and their return journey will be from Pune on November 20. Therefore, the railway administration has appealed that the passengers should travel only after submitting the insurance.
Two night block for corner bridge
Central Railway has decided to take a midnight block on weekends (November 19-20) and Sunday-Monday (November 20-21) to construct seven girders of the corner bridge between Mulund and Thane. This block will be on six routes in Thane. The block will be from 1.30 pm to 3.45 am on Saturday-Sunday and Sunday-Monday.
