Vimalbai Shriram Patil (age 70 years), a resident of Rail village in Dharangaon taluk, is living in the shed of Mangal Naththu Patil of this village. On December 29, around midnight, a robber broke into their house. At this time, Vimalbai Patil was sleeping on the bed.
This time, the robber beat Vimalbai on her head and face and seriously injured her. At this time, the robber tried to scratch the gold ornaments from Vimalbai’s ears. But as they did not leave, the robber directly cut off the old woman’s ear.
Vimalbai’s ears were stolen with gold ornaments worth 25 thousand rupees. In this incident, Vimalbai was seriously injured and her ear was bleeding profusely. Meanwhile, the incident came to light when the woman living next door went home as the grandmother did not wake up even after 9 am.

The injured old woman was immediately admitted to the Government Medical College for treatment. After receiving information about the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Chandrakant Gawli, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Chopde, Chopda Sub Divisional Police Officer Rishikesh Rawale, Amalner Police Sub Divisional Police Officer Rakesh Jadhav rushed to the spot. Police Inspector Rahul Khatal of Dharangaon Police Station, Ganesh Bua of Paldhi Out Post, Police Sub-Inspector Amol Gunjal are conducting further investigation. A case has been registered in Dharangaon police station regarding this incident.
