The name of the deceased electricity worker is Manik Sonba Garamde. The day before the strike, the death of an electricity worker has spread mourning in the area.
Manik Garamde, an electrical employee assigned to Rengabodi-Keslabodi area in Chimur taluka, was on duty to collect the electricity bill. On his way to Keslabodi, he had gone to inquire about work near the well being dug in the field of Manoj Srirame of Parsodi Shet Shivara on the way. This time Manoj Srirame and well digging laborers were present.
While exploring the depth of the well, Garamde lost his balance and fell into a dry well about 30 feet deep. He suffered serious injuries on his head and elsewhere. The farm owner and others then admitted Garamde to Primary Health Center Khadsangi for immediate treatment.
However, as the injuries were serious, he was shifted to Sub District Hospital Chimur for further treatment. However, Garamde died during the treatment. After that, the information about his death was given to the Chimur police. Police Sub-Inspector Alim Sheikh, Police Constable Rahul Chandekar immediately reached the Upazila Hospital and conducted a preliminary inquiry.
Post-mortem examination of the deceased has been conducted. As the incident site falls within Shegaon Police Station limits, the case has been classified and further investigation is underway under the guidance of Thanedar of Shegaon Police Station Avinash Meshram. The sudden death of a friendly employee is expressing grief in the electrical department.
