Mother says – I am very proud
Talking to ANI, Hisha’s mother said, ‘I am very proud. She is very hardworking and used to wake up at 4 am for training. We sold our land and rickshaw to pay for the treatment of my husband who was suffering from cancer. We also teach our children. After completing the training, Hisha will become Chhattisgarh’s first firefighter.

Selection as Agniveer in second year of B.Sc
We are very happy to know that a student from our school has been selected as the first female firefighter. She is a very bright student. She is also good at sports. Hisa’s school teacher said that she was able to do this despite the family’s poor financial situation. When Hisa was selected for this scheme, she was a second year student of B.Sc.

Training started in Odisha
Hisha is currently undergoing training for senior secondary recruitment in the Indian Navy at Chilka, Odisha. Her training will continue till March after which she will be ready for the security of the country.
Last year on June 14, 2022, the Union Cabinet approved the ‘Agnipath’ recruitment scheme for Indian youth to serve in the Army. Youth selected under the scheme will be known as ‘Agnaveer’ and will be given an opportunity to apply for enrollment in the permanent cadre.
