Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda: The claim made by Puri’s Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati has created a stir. Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati has claimed that the ancestors of Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ have been proved to be Sanatani Hindus. While in Bhubaneswar, he said, ‘The opposition parties in America have raised this issue in Parliament. It has been proved that the ancestors of Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ were orthodox Hindus.’
Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati further said that ‘Government control over temples and maths is wrong. It is the need of the government to spend money for the development of every place.’ When asked about the missing key to Puri’s Ratna Bhandara, he said the Odisha government and the Jagannath temple administration never discussed it. So I can’t say anything about the loss of this key.
The key was lost 38 years ago…
There are as many as 7 treasures in the temple premises. which are always open. As many as 38 years ago, the keys of four treasures were lost. But the Collector has only two of these keys. Earlier too, Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati had raised his voice on the issue of cracking houses in Joshimath, insulting nature and development.
