Surya scored a 49-ball century by hitting a four and a six off the next two balls to take his tally to 111. In the last over, captain Hardik Pandya took two runs off the first ball and was dismissed on the second ball. On the next three balls, New Zealand’s experienced bowler Tim Southee managed to take a hat-trick by dismissing three Indian batsmen in a row.
