Big Update on WTC Finals; Place, date decided, India will benefit

New Delhi: There is a big update regarding the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2023. The WTC final is likely to take place on June 8 at The Oval in London. The International Cricket Council i.e. ICC has not officially announced this. But according to the report of Times of India, this match will be held between June 8-12. A reserve day is also kept in case of rain or any interruption in the match.

Since the final match will be held in June, there will also be enough gap between this and the IPL match. If India makes it to the finals of the WTC, the players get a chance to prepare for it. India reached the finals in the first WTC. Then New Zealand won the title by defeating India. A four-match Test series is to be played between India and Australia.

The Australian team will tour India for this. Border Gavaskar Trophy will be played in February and March in both the teams. Before the series, the Australian team may hold a warm-up camp in Bengaluru. After this camp, the first Test in Nagpur will begin from February 9.

The Indian cricket team is currently playing an ODI series against New Zealand. India won the first match. In the ongoing second match, India restricted New Zealand to just 108 runs. After the ODI series, the T20 series will be played between the two teams.
