IND vs SL: Kuldeep Yadav shines again as soon as he gets a chance in the team, taking 3 wickets

Kolkata: The Indian cricket team is currently playing an ODI series against Sri Lanka. The second match of the series begins at the historic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. Captain Rohit Sharma changed the playing-11 for this match and opted to drop Yuzvendra Chahal from the playing-11 and included the young Indian bowler in the squad for the second ODI.

The captain gave Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav a chance. Looking at Kuldeep’s performance in today’s match, Rohit must have felt that he made the right decision. Kuldeep performed brilliantly in this second ODI of the series against Sri Lanka. He took three important wickets giving 40 runs in 8 overs. He showed Kusal Mendis, Charit Aslanka and captain Dasun Shanaka the way to the pavilion. With this, Kuldeep completed his 200 wickets in all three formats of international cricket. Kuldeep achieved this feat in 110 innings of 107 matches and became the 23rd Indian bowler to achieve this milestone.

Kuldeep has taken the most wickets in ODI cricket with 122. Kuldeep has taken 122 wickets in 72 innings, in which he has also taken a hat-trick twice. At the same time, Kuldeep took wickets whenever he got a chance in Tests and T20Is. Kuldeep has taken 34 wickets in 14 innings in Test and 44 wickets in 24 innings in T20.

Kuldeep started his international career on 25 March 2017 by making his Test debut for India. That year, over the next few months, he made his debut in ODIs and T20Is alternately.

Kuldeep Yadav was earlier seen playing in the Test match against Bangladesh. He only got a chance in one Test match and he had a good school of Bangladeshi batsmen. He took a total of 8 wickets in both the innings. Not only this, he also contributed 40 runs with the bat. He played only one match in the ODI series against Bangladesh. He was dropped in the third ODI of the series but scored 53 runs and took one wicket in the match.
