So Arshdeep Singh on target
In 24 matches – Arshdeep has bowled 21 wide balls and 15 no balls. This means he has bowled 36 extra balls i.e. 6 extra overs. This is the highest number of no balls and wide balls by any Indian bowler in the last 25 T20Is.
Arshdeep finished with 1/51 in four overs in Ranchi. He faced criticism for his bowling. Former India cricketer Sanjay Bangar said that the 23-year-old player was not effective. According to Mohammad Kaif, his long-runup is the main reason for his lack of direction.

Kaif said, “Arshdeep’s run-up is long which means it may be difficult for him to take steps. He is wasting energy there too. So, the main reason behind that over-stepped no-ball is his long run up. And he changes sides a lot, sometimes round the wicket, sometimes over the wicket. So, he needs to work on these basics and get some rest. He is a good bowler but he didn’t have a good day.”
Settlement on Arshdeep Singh
According to InsideSport, captain Hardik and coach Rahul Dravid may drop Arshdeep Singh from the second T20I. India will need to perform well in bowling in today’s match. Interestingly, in the first match of this series, Team India had to accept defeat against New Zealand by 21 runs. In such a situation, now India will have to win the second match at any cost. If India fails in that, the series will also be lost. This time, New Zealand has created a good grip in the series and the Kiwi team is leading 1-0.
