Searching on Google is expensive
This incident is in Mumbai. A person wanted to check his PF balance at this place. But, a big fraud happened with it. The customer just clicked. Later, Rs 1.23 lakh was deducted from his account. According to reports, the incident happened with a 47-year-old man from Mumbai. The person searched online customer care number on Google to check his PF balance. At this point the person found a helpline number. The person called that number and gave all the information to the person mistaking it as an EPFO official. The person claiming to be an EPFO official asked to install an app. It claimed that all kinds of online help will be available. But then there was danger with that person. A message was received that Rs. 1.23 lakh has been deducted from the person’s bank account. In which transactions were done in 14 different banks.
