MG Comet EV Design:

The MG Comet EV car looks really good. The overall length of the MG Comet EV car is 2974 mm, width is 1505 mm. This car comes with a wheelbase of 2010 mm. Comet car wheels have 12 inch steel casing. Talking about the design, the paintwork of the car grabs your attention. This car is available in three colors namely Candy White, Aurora Silver and Starry Black. Also this car is available in two dual tones Apple Green and Starry Black, Candy White and Starry Black. Additionally, customers can choose from four different color options with the Comet LIT Pack. The most special thing is that the logo of this car is clearly visible. It has modern parallel steps LED headlamps and tail lamps. It can attract attention even in a crowd due to its uniqueness. In addition to the current trend, the car has integrated lights at the front and rear. This car looks compact from side. Three door design and aero craft windows are provided for the rear passengers. MG Comet EV Cabin and Features:

As soon as you enter the MG Comet EV’s cabin, you’ll forget about its exterior. The car’s dual-tone space gray interior is eye-catching. Thin bright floating twin displays remind you of a luxury sedan. The car has enough smart storage space for laptops and phones. But it does not have a glove box. Since this car is a two-door car, it is very easy for the rear seat passengers to get in or out. The process of one touch slide and reclining front passenger seat is smooth. So even though the size is compact, four youngsters can travel comfortably. Like other models of MG cars, the Comet EV offers quality technology and comfort features.

The Comet EV features a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Car Play and over 100 voice commands. It has more than 55 connected car features. Apart from this, the car has two speakers, three fast USB ports to charge your electronic gadgets. The company has provided a 12V charging outlet on the front side. You also get a digital key with key-sharing function. MG Comet Safety Features :

The company claims that the car is built on a high strength steel body with 17 hot stamping panels. It has key safety features like dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, tire pressure monitoring system, reverse parking camera and sensors.

Battery is very important in EV vehicles. This car has an IP-67 rated battery. It protects against dust and water. The battery of this car has undergone 39 stringent safety tests. It includes fire test, thermal diffusion and flip test. These tests have been done before the launch of the car. This small hatch has adequate security features considering the city conditions. MG Comet EV Performance and Range:

The MG Comet EV has a 17.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack made from prismatic cells. This battery pack produces a top power of 41bhp and a peak torque of 110 Nm. It has three driving modes Eco, Normal and Sports. The power output of the car is substantial and adequate. It takes about seven hours to charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent. You can charge this car with any 16AMP socket or home charger provided by the brand at the time of purchase. The company claims that this car offers a driving range of 230 km on a single charge.

Driveability and Handling of MG Comet EV:

Driving this car in traffic is fun. Its compact design allows it to quickly exit traffic. The top speed of this car is limited to 100 kmph. The car has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. So there will be no problem during the journey. The small hatch has MacPherson strut suspension at the front and multi link coil suspension at the rear. This suspension has been given considering the Indian roads.

Verdict on MG Comet EV:

The new MG Comet has set a benchmark as the most affordable electric car in India. Earlier we assumed the price of this car to be in the 10-12 lakh range; But in reality this prediction turned out to be false. Stylish design, high technology, comfortable cabin, range of 230 km, monthly charging cost of Rs 519 for 1000 km are important. For daily city drives and for those who want a comfortable ride to reach college or work, this car is perfect. This car will power the EV revolution. She will get a good response from the young customers in the city. We feel that this car is suitable for daily and domestic work.
